Zubairu Condoles Maru Community Over Deadly Bandits’ Attack

MARU, Zamfara, Dec. 27, 2025 (Naija247news) – Rep. Abdulmalik Zubairu (APC-Zamfara) has visited Maru community in Maru Local Government Area to condole with families of victims of a recent bandits’ attack that left several people dead and many others abducted.

The lawmaker, who represents Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency, described the incident as unfortunate and expressed deep concern over the lingering insecurity affecting communities in Zamfara.

In a statement issued on Saturday in Gusau by his Chief Press Secretary, Aminu Lawal, Zubairu assured constituents of continued support toward improving security in the area.

“Only God knows the extent of my concern over the plight of our people. I will continue to do everything possible to ensure the safety of lives and property,” he said.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of those killed and for the safe return of those kidnapped, while urging residents to cooperate with security agencies in the fight against banditry.

Lawal added that special prayers for peace were offered during the visit.

Meanwhile, Zubairu also attended the funeral prayer of the late District Head of Karakkai, Alhaji Muhammad Bello-Yusuf, who died after a brief illness. The lawmaker described him as a committed traditional leader who contributed to development and community stability.

He extended condolences to the Emir of Bungudu, Alhaji Hassan Attahiru, and the entire emirate, and prayed for Allah’s forgiveness for the deceased.
