The conglomerate clarifies that the truck involved in the Ondo road crash does not belong to Dangote or any of its subsidiaries, urging media outlets to verify information before attribution.

The company made it categorically clear that the truck in question does not belong to Dangote Group or any of its subsidiaries.

According to verified vehicle registration details, the truck with Plate Number JJJ 365 XB is owned and operated by an independent logistics company with no affiliation to Dangote Industries. The vehicle was reportedly transporting crushed stones in reused sacks bearing various brand names, not any Dangote product.

Akungba Akoko Accident 23 10Dangote Industries stressed that it maintains a strict fleet management and identification policy, ensuring that all its vehicles are properly branded, tracked, and operated by trained personnel under rigorous safety and compliance standards.

While expressing sympathy for all victims affected by the tragic incident, the conglomerate urged the public and media to verify information before attributing any truck or accident to Dangote.

It further cautioned news organisations against using images of Dangote-branded trucks in connection with incidents unrelated to its operations.

Dangote Industries reaffirmed its commitment to road safety, regulatory compliance, and responsible corporate citizenship across its Nigerian and pan-African operations.
