The President specifically acknowledged recent infrastructure gains in the nation’s capital, highlighting Wike’s intervention that ended a 14-year stalemate on the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, describing it as a symbol of renewed momentum in FCT development.
He further commended the minister’s can-do attitude, resilience, and commitment to excellence across all assignments, thanking him for his consistency and dedication to public service.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet—an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” Tinubu said.
The President also lauded Wike as a key supporter of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, despite belonging to a different political party.
