ABUJA, Dec. 13, 2025 (Naija247news) – President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, on his birthday, describing him as one of the standout performers in his cabinet and a driving force behind the ongoing transformation of Abuja.

In a birthday message issued on Friday, the President celebrated with the former Rivers State governor, thanking God for a life he said has been defined by purpose, service, courage, and results-oriented leadership.

President Tinubu praised Wike as an audacious and resilient public servant who consistently defies obstacles and delivers outcomes, noting that his impact in the FCT has reinforced his reputation as a pragmatic administrator.

The President specifically acknowledged recent infrastructure gains in the nation’s capital, highlighting Wike’s intervention that ended a 14-year stalemate on the construction of the Apo–Karshi Road, describing it as a symbol of renewed momentum in FCT development.

He further commended the minister’s can-do attitude, resilience, and commitment to excellence across all assignments, thanking him for his consistency and dedication to public service.

“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet—an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” Tinubu said.

The President also lauded Wike as a key supporter of his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, despite belonging to a different political party.

“I commend him for being one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party, and I wish him well as he marks another year in his life journey,” Tinubu added.

President Tinubu concluded by wishing the FCT minister a happy birthday and continued strength to sustain the pace of development in the nation’s capital.
