The Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Osun State, Hon. Wole Adedoyin, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to presenting a credible, competent, and people-focused candidate for the 2026 Governorship Election.
Speaking in Ilesa on Sunday, Hon. Adedoyin emphasized that APGA is determined to restore integrity, accountability, and transparency in governance through the emergence of a candidate with a proven record of service and dedication to the welfare of the people.
According to the APGA chairman, the party’s vision for Osun State centers on good governance, socio-economic development, and inclusive growth. He disclosed that both the state and national leadership of the party have resolved to screen only aspirants of unquestionable character and genuine passion for public service in the race for the governorship ticket.
Hon. Adedoyin stated that the 2026 election offers Osun residents a chance to embrace a new political direction that places the people’s interests above political calculations. He assured that APGA’s eventual candidate will possess a deep understanding of the state’s challenges and demonstrate the capacity to deliver practical solutions that uplift the standard of living of citizens.
He further assured party members and supporters that the nomination process will be transparent, credible, and compliant with APGA’s constitution and democratic values. The party, he said, remains firm in its resolve to uphold internal democracy and will resist any form of imposition, favoritism, or manipulation in its candidate selection process.
Adedoyin urged Osun voters to remain vigilant and reject the political gimmicks that have stunted the state’s growth over the years. He called on the electorate to rally behind APGA as a credible alternative for genuine change, stressing that the party’s governorship candidate will reflect the collective aspirations and yearnings of the people.
Highlighting APGA’s readiness for an inclusive political process, the caretaker chairman revealed that the party will actively engage youth groups, women’s associations, and community leaders to ensure broad-based participation. He added that APGA’s campaign strategy will focus on issue-driven policies targeting education, agriculture, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
He also reaffirmed APGA’s commitment to fostering unity and building alliances with progressive stakeholders across Osun State ahead of the 2026 polls. The party, according to him, remains open to collaboration with credible individuals and groups who share its vision of a prosperous and well-governed Osun.
Hon. Adedoyin expressed confidence that APGA will not only present a candidate who embodies integrity and competence but will also win the trust and support of the people to lead Osun State into a new era of prosperity, stability, and good governance.
