
ABUJA, Dec. 26, 2025 (Naija247news) — The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully ferried its C-130 aircraft, NAF 913, to Lisbon, Portugal, for scheduled depot maintenance, the service announced on Friday.
In a statement, Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the aircraft made planned stops in Banjul, The Gambia, and Casablanca, Morocco, arriving safely at the OGMA maintenance facility on Thursday. Both the crew and aircraft were reported in good condition.
“The ferry flight was executed in strict compliance with aviation safety procedures. All personnel remain safe and in high spirits,” Ejodame said, commending the host authorities for their cooperation.
He added that the maintenance operation is part of NAF’s ongoing efforts to sustain operational readiness and ensure its fleet remains mission-capable, highlighting the service’s commitment to safety, professionalism, and operational accountability.
