Sean “Diddy” Combs narrowly escaped a terrifying incident inside MDC Brooklyn, where the music mogul is serving a 50-month federal sentence.
According to close friend Charlucci Finney, Diddy woke up one night to find a knife pressed against his throat, a moment that could have ended in tragedy. Finney told the Daily Mail that he is unsure whether guards intervened or if Diddy fended off the attacker himself, but confirmed it was a very close call.
Sources familiar with the situation also verified the account to TMZ, describing the attack as a targeted intimidation attempt. Finney added that the motive appeared to be to scare Diddy, noting that prison is particularly dangerous for inmates with sex-related convictions.
During Diddy’s sentencing, his lawyer Brian Steel also mentioned the incident, confirming that a guard stopped the inmate before any serious harm occurred.
Diddy is serving his sentence after being convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act, which involves transporting individuals across state lines for unlawful purposes. He was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
Meanwhile, reports have circulated claiming that former U.S. President Donald Trump may consider pardoning Diddy, though the White House Communications Office has denied these claims. TMZ sources, however, insist the story is accurate.
Prison consultant Sam Mangel told TMZ Live that Diddy’s next prison is expected to be less violent than MDC Brooklyn, but incidents like this highlight the constant need for vigilance.
For now, Diddy’s safety remains a concern, with Finney describing the experience as “terrifying” and a stark reminder of the dangers inside prison walls.
