The Ogun State government has said that 40 legacy projects which cut across the three senatorial districts of the state have been penciled down to be commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari during the 40th anniversary of the creation of Ogun State from the Old Western Region
The Secretary to the State Government, Mr Taiwo Adeoluwa made this known on Friday at a press briefing in Abeokuta, the state capital where programme for the celebration was unveiled by the government.
According to the programme, about 14 legacy projects are expected to be commissioned, 12 from Ogun West and 16 projects from Ogun Central Senatorial District.
As part of the celebration 11 former governors of the state are expected to be part of the celebration.
Among the projects expected to be commissioned are the 110km Ilaro/Ijoun/Tombolo road which cuts across four Local Government Areas of Ogun West Senatorial Districts, the Ilo Awela road in Ota area, model schools, 750 hectares New Makun Estate in Sagamu, 50 hectares cashew plantation at Imeko Afon and 50 hectares palm plantation at Ipokia among other legacy projects.
