Music can effectively unite Nigerians, Gospel Artiste Famisa says

Lagos, Oct. 3, 2020 A Lagos-based Gospel Artiste, Ebenezer Famisa, says music can be used as a unifying factor for the nation to encourage forgiveness and preach peace.

Famisa told journalists, in Lagos on Saturday that with the many challenges, including COVID-19 pandemic and insecurity, music could foster the needed peace, justice and love in the country.

According to the gospel artiste who is also an Evangelist, as Nigeria attains 60 years, it should be strengthening the proclamations of the National Anthem and Pledge rather than struggling to achieve them.

Famisa, billed to launch a new album titled ““Ona-Iye, Volume 4 Series’’ said that the album carries lot of thorough reflection on the ways of life and the light of Jesus Christ.

“Psychology and music experts agree that music connects peoples irrespective of tribes and tongues. Songs share features that foster bonding among social and racial groups.

“If harnessed well, it has healing, unifying and uplifting effects. If played, appreciated, used well, music can bring peoples of Nigeria together for easier relationship.

“My song will impact positively on the lives of the young generations who are currently deviating from the ways of the Lord, to come back and contribute their quota positively to the development of the country.’’

The Omuo-Ekiti born gospel artiste advised leaders and stakeholders in the nation’s development to listen to the warnings of the Lord, to walk in His ways and guide the followers in the right direction that they ought to go.

Famisa said that music would contribute to deepening peace, mutual respect and unity in Nigeria, noting that “what Nigeria needs is prayers by all its citizens because the time to celebrate with party and other extravagant waste is gone.

“It is now time to pray to Almighty God for peace and stability in the country as well as the unity of the nation.

“It was an agreement in the Gospel Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (GOMAN), to offer specials prayers for peace and stability in the country.

“We must team up to pray for our dear country; prayer is a powerful tool for ending all form of hardship and situation.

“ I want to appeal to all Nigerians to be their brothers keeper and unite for peace, to ensure a better Nigeria,’’ Famisa said.

Naija247news reports that the artiste had produced four albums within the past 10 years and they include: “Omi Leniyan’’, “Dada kodara to’’, “Isokan’’, “Ajeri igbala’’ and soon to be launched “Ona iye’’.
