In a renewed drive to strengthen customer loyalty and accelerate digital inclusion, First Bank of Nigeria Limited has launched the Verve Flash Promo, a nationwide campaign designed to reward customers with free Verve debit cards and cashback incentives.

According to Olayinka Ijabiyi, Acting Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications at FirstBank, the promo — which commenced on October 6, 2025, and will run until January 30, 2026 — specifically targets customers whose ATM cards have expired.

Under the initiative, 131 customers will receive free Verve cards daily, on a first-come, first-served basis across FirstBank branches nationwide. The gesture, Ijabiyi said, underscores the bank’s unwavering commitment to convenience, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

“Our goal is to ensure that customers continue to enjoy secure and seamless payment experiences. This promo reaffirms our drive to reward loyalty while making digital banking accessible to all,” Ijabiyi noted.

Echoing the sentiment, Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive, e-Business and Retail Products, highlighted that the Verve Flash Promo aligns with FirstBank’s 131-year heritage of trust and resilience, marking another milestone in the bank’s quest to modernize Nigeria’s financial services landscape.

“FirstBank remains committed to secure and innovative payment solutions. This partnership with Verve reflects our shared vision of deepening financial inclusion and delivering rewarding experiences to customers,” Ezirim said.

On his part, Vincent Ogbunude, Managing Director of Verve International, said the collaboration strengthens efforts to enhance digital payment adoption and promote inclusive growth across Nigeria.

“The Verve Flash Promo supports everyday secure transactions while rewarding customers. It’s about building confidence in digital payments and ensuring that every cardholder benefits from convenience and reliability,” Ogbunude explained.

Meanwhile, the Verve Good Life Promo, another nationwide campaign rewarding users at selected merchant points, has been extended to November 30, 2025.

During this period, Verve cardholders will enjoy 10% cashback every Thursday to Sunday at partner outlets including The Place Restaurant, Quickteller, Buypower, Filmhouse, AlliExpress, Addide Supermarkets, and Chowdeck. They will also receive 10% cashback on Google Play Store purchases throughout the promo window.

In addition, every Verve card transaction — whether via ATM, POS, or online platforms — qualifies customers for a chance to win up to ₦1 million.

Industry analysts view the campaign as part of a broader strategy by FirstBank and Verve to deepen Nigeria’s cashless economy, promote financial literacy, and support the Central Bank’s digital inclusion mandate.
