In a bid to support youth empowerment and community development, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has donated seven hybrid CNG buses to the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN). The buses, distributed to YOWICAN’s zonal offices across the country, aim to enhance the mobility and outreach activities of Christian youths nationwide.

Empowering the Next Generation

According to YOWICAN’s National Chairman, Belusochukwu Enwere, the donation is a symbol of hope, empowerment, and commitment to youth mobility and mission across Nigeria. Each bus has an 18-seater capacity and is powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), making them cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Enwere revealed that filling up a bus with CNG costs between N3,000 to N4,000, which can last up to seven hours. This initiative is part of the First Lady’s effort to support youth empowerment and community development programs.

A Call to Service

The gift is meant to facilitate evangelism, peacebuilding, and national development, rather than any political agenda. YOWICAN has assured that the buses will be used for their intended purpose, bringing hope and empowerment to Christian youths across the nation. As the nation continues to grapple with various challenges, initiatives like this serve as a beacon of hope for a brighter future.

A New Chapter for YOWICAN

With the new buses, YOWICAN is poised to expand its reach and impact, mobilizing Christian youths to make a difference in their communities. The organization can now facilitate more outreaches, workshops, and seminars, empowering youths with the skills and knowledge needed to drive positive change. This development is a significant boost to the organization’s efforts, and it is expected that the buses will be a catalyst for growth and transformation.

The donation of the seven hybrid CNG buses to YOWICAN is a testament to the First Lady’s commitment to youth empowerment and community development. As the Christian youths embark on their mission, it is hoped that their efforts will bring about positive change in their communities.
