FirstBank Announces Scheduled System Maintenance on April 13 – Card Transactions to Be Temporarily Unavailable

FirstBank Nigeria has issued a notice to its customers, informing them of a planned system maintenance set to take place on Sunday, April 13, 2025, between 12:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. (WAT).

In a statement made available to the public, the bank disclosed that during the maintenance window, the following services will be temporarily unavailable:
   •   All card transactions across ATMs, POS terminals, and online/web platforms
   •   Agency Banking POS terminals
   •   New user enrollment on FirstMobile and USSD banking platforms

However, the bank assured customers that certain services will remain accessible, including:
   •   All existing transactions on FirstMobile, USSD, and FirstOnline
   •   Non-card transactions at agent banking locations

FirstBank apologized for the anticipated inconvenience and emphasized that the maintenance exercise is aimed at improving system efficiency and service delivery.

“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we carry out this upgrade to serve you better,” the bank said.
