The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the 2025 Direct Entry (DE) registration will commence on Wednesday, March 12.
In a statement released by JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin on Monday, the board highlighted that the DE registration is intended for individuals with degrees, diplomas, or A-level certificates seeking university admission.
This development follows the conclusion of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration, which ended on March 8, 2025. According to JAMB, a total of 2,030,627 candidates registered for the UTME, 200,115 registered for the Mock-UTME, and 630 applied for the trial mock.
JAMB emphasized the importance of submitting accurate information, warning that false declarations would attract serious penalties. A special committee will verify all advanced-level qualifications, and fraudulent results will result in prosecution. Institutions have also been advised to verify certificates before admitting students.
Prospective candidates are reminded that registration can only be completed at JAMB Professional Registration Centres (PRC).
