First Bank inaugurates automated self-service branch in Lekki

Lagos, March 24, 2025 (Naija247news) – First Bank of Nigeria Ltd. has launched its fifth Digital Xperience Centre in Lekki, Lagos, reinforcing its commitment to seamless and innovative banking services.

At the unveiling, Managing Director Olusegun Alebiosu emphasized that the centre would provide 24-hour access to self-service banking facilities, ensuring customers enjoy convenience and security at any time.

Alebiosu also announced that the bank would unveil a new Digital Xperience Centre at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), in April, with more locations to follow nationwide.

Expanding the Digital Footprint

The newly inaugurated centre joins the ranks of other high-tech banking hubs previously launched at:
• Adetokunbo Ademola Branch, Victoria Island
• University of Ibadan
• Wuse Branch, Abuja
• Banana Island Branch, Lagos

Alebiosu highlighted that the centre aligns with global banking standards, featuring humanoid AI-powered assistants, video banking, fast-track contactless ATMs, automated account opening, and instant card issuance services.

Technology at the Heart of Banking Transformation

“Technology has indeed become the backbone of financial services. As the landscape continues to evolve, so must we,” Alebiosu stated, underscoring First Bank’s leadership in digital innovation.

The Group Head, Branch Operations & Services, Abimbola Kunle-Ajayi, showcased how enhanced security and advanced self-service features improve customer experience.

A customer, Henry Ifeayinchukwu, who tested the digital services, praised the 24-hour convenience and the ease of operation, calling it a game-changer in Nigeria’s banking sector.
