Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Nigerian international superstar Tems captivated fans during her performance in Johannesburg as part of her Born In The Wild world tour. The singer lit up The Dome at Nasrec, a newly opened venue with a capacity of 6,000, with a collection of her chart-topping hits. The crowd was further thrilled with an exclusive meet-and-greet session, allowing fans to connect with the artist on a personal level.
South Africa marked the first African stop of Tems’ tour after she had to cancel a previously scheduled show in Kigali, Rwanda. The Grammy-winning artist shared her reason for the cancellation on X (formerly Twitter) on January 30, citing the ongoing political tensions between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. She expressed her regret if her actions had been perceived as insensitive and sent her thoughts to those affected by the crisis.
The Born In The Wild tour follows the release of Tems’ debut album, which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Global Album. The 29-year-old artist has had an eventful start to 2025, winning her second Grammy award for Best African Song Performance at the 67th ceremony. She also recently performed at the O2 Arena during the unveiling of Aston Martin’s new car for the 2025 F1 season, further solidifying her status as one of the biggest African stars on the global stage.
