The SEC approval places Sycamore among a select group of regulated investment firms in Nigeria, reinforcing its commitment to institutional-grade compliance. Sycamore Group CEO Babatunde Akin-Moses emphasized the significance of this achievement, stating, “With this regulatory foundation and Oluwagbenga’s expertise, we are uniquely positioned to deliver performance and security to investors navigating Africa’s complex market conditions.”

Magbagbeola, bringing 17 years of capital markets experience, sees the SEC license as a critical step toward providing protected investment diversification during economic uncertainty. His track record includes developing investment strategies that performed against market benchmarks, even during currency volatility and inflation.

Sycamore’s AI-driven investment platform is another pillar of its growth strategy. Co-founder and COO Mayowa Adeosun highlighted the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence to optimize portfolio allocations across multiple asset classes, ensuring data-driven investment strategies tailored to Nigeria’s dynamic market.

The company’s new Multi-Currency Wallet allows investors to hold and manage funds in USD, EUR, GBP, and NGN, offering a regulated currency diversification solution for Nigerian investors. This feature enhances Sycamore’s mobile app, providing institutional-grade portfolio analytics, risk exposure insights, and growth tracking tools.

With ₦10 billion in assets under management, an SEC-regulated status, and an expanded suite of investment tools, Sycamore is positioning itself as a leader in Nigeria’s evolving fintech investment space.
