Jos, March 7, 2025 Dr Pam Wayas, Chairman, Plateau Internal Revenue Service, on Friday said the service generated N32.14 billion in 2024 and now had a target of N52 billion for 2025.

He attributed the achievement to sector reforms and innovative tax strategies.
“Going forward, this targeted sector reforms and tax strategies would ensure efficient collection, reduced evasion, and promoted fairness in the tax system, “ he said.
The chairman added that with all hands on deck, the efforts would enable the board to meet its N52 billion target.
He, however, said that it was important for everyone to understand that tax payments in the state would directly contribute to development by funding infrastructure, creating jobs, improving public services, and fostering economic growth.
