Super Falcons Retain 36th Place in Latest FIFA Women’s Rankings, Leading Africa

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have maintained their position as Africa’s top women’s football team, holding steady at 36th in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking released on March 6, 2025. They continue to lead the continent, followed by South Africa’s Banyana Banyana (53rd), Morocco (61st), Zambia (62nd), and Ghana (66th).

During the review period, the Super Falcons recorded impressive victories over Algeria, winning 2-0 and 4-1, but were narrowly defeated 2-1 by France. Despite these results, the Super Falcons remain unrivaled in African women’s football.

Globally, the United States maintains the top spot, with Spain and Germany in second and third, respectively. England holds fourth place, while Japan completes the top five.
