The Rivers State House of Assembly has issued a stern warning to Justice Adolphus Enebeli (rtd), Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), threatening to arrest him if he fails to appear by Friday, March 7, 2025. The warning follows a motion moved by Enemi George, representing Asari-Toru Constituency 2, during Wednesday’s plenary session.

Meanwhile, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has assured the public of his administration’s commitment to implementing the Supreme Court’s verdict. The Governor has instructed Heads of Local Government Administration (HLGAs) to assume control of the 23 local councils until fresh elections are conducted.
