“PDP Leadership Has Failed” – Adediran
In an emotional address, Adediran criticized the PDP leadership at both the state and national levels, accusing them of anti-party activities, internal sabotage, and lack of discipline.
“I stand before you today with a heavy heart but a clear conscience. We have dedicated ourselves to democracy, good governance, and a better Lagos. However, it has become evident that the PDP leadership has failed to uphold these principles,” he said.
According to him, the lack of unity within the party severely undermined his campaign and left many of his supporters disillusioned.
Internal Sabotage and Election Challenges
Adediran recalled that despite running a campaign based on transformation and development, some party leaders felt threatened by his candidacy and worked against him.
“We were attacked six different times during the campaign, yet neither the State Chairman nor any party leader condemned these attacks,” he lamented.
After the elections, Adediran said his team lodged official complaints at the PDP national level, expecting sanctions against those who engaged in anti-party activities, but nothing was done.
“We have waited, hoping for justice, but instead, those who openly worked against the party are now in control. How do we trust them again in the next election cycle?” he asked.
Next Political Move to Be Announced
Although Adediran did not disclose his next political move, he assured supporters that he remains committed to the development of Lagos.
“This is not the end of our journey but the beginning of a new chapter. We will continue to advocate for policies that uplift our state, regardless of our political affiliation,” he stated.
Addressing hundreds of supporters after the conference, Adediran urged them to remain calm and prayerful, promising to reveal his next steps in the coming months.
