ZURU – The Emir of Zuru, General Muhammad Sani Sami (rtd.), has issued a stern warning to politicians neglecting the Zuru Emirate, cautioning that they will face the people’s wrath in the 2027 general elections.

He, however, showered praise on the governor’s wife, describing her as a beacon of hope for women and a pillar of support for the people of Zuru and Kebbi State at large. According to him, her remarkable contributions to women’s empowerment and state development have set an unprecedented record.
The Emir lauded Governor Nasir Idris for his clear policy direction, infrastructure drive, and commitment to tackling security challenges in Kebbi South, which has allowed farmers to return to their farmlands without fear. He specifically commended the ongoing rehabilitation of the Koko-Dabai road and pledged the support of the Zuru Emirate for his administration.
On her part, the First Lady expressed gratitude for the Emir’s support and the honor bestowed upon her as Jagaban Matan Zuru. She reiterated her commitment to advancing women’s economic well-being, highlighting her agricultural empowerment initiative, which provides women farmers with rice seedlings, fertilizers, and pesticides to boost productivity.
The visit further reinforced the growing alliance between the Zuru Emirate and the Kebbi State government, as political discussions ahead of the 2027 elections continue to gain momentum.
