Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (DPAN) has ramped up its production capacity to 44,000 vehicles per year, integrating advanced technology to boost local manufacturing and reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported cars. The Kaduna-based plant now produces up to 120 vehicles daily, delivering popular Peugeot models such as the Landtrek pickup, 3008, 5008, and 508 GT at competitive prices.

“By assembling globally renowned Peugeot models, DPAN is fostering trade, strengthening local manufacturing, and accelerating Nigeria’s journey toward industrial self-sufficiency,” she said.
Dangote Group Showcases Digital Transformation at Kaduna Trade Fair
With this year’s trade fair themed “Promoting Efficiency in Manufacturing, Trade, and Agriculture through Digital Transformation,” the Dangote Group highlighted its extensive adoption of cutting-edge technology. Abdurrahman noted that automation and smart systems have significantly enhanced operations across cement, sugar, salt, fertilizer, petrochemicals, agriculture, and now automobiles.
“We have digitized our manufacturing and sales processes, particularly in our cement plants, where tasks that once took days now take minutes,” she added.
Additionally, she introduced the DMS Application, a digital ordering platform available on Android and iOS, which enables registered customers in the cement, sugar, and salt sectors to purchase products seamlessly.
Government and Industry Leaders Applaud Dangote’s Impact
The Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) acknowledged Dangote Group’s contributions to economic growth.
Ishaya Idi, President of KADCCIMA, praised the company’s role in job creation and industrial expansion, stating:
“The 46th Kaduna Trade Fair has reinforced the strong partnership between KADCCIMA and Dangote Group, a company that remains a key driver of Nigeria’s industrial growth.”
Representing President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Dafang Sale, Acting Permanent Secretary, commended Dangote Group for its commitment to innovation and industrialization.
“Dangote Group’s investments are critical to Nigeria’s economic transformation. We appreciate the remarkable work they are doing,” Sale noted.
Usman Saulawa, Director General of KADCCIMA, further emphasized Dangote’s influence, highlighting its role in strengthening Kaduna State’s business landscape and contributing to Nigeria’s broader economic development.
As DPAN scales up its production capacity, Nigeria’s automotive sector moves closer to self-sufficiency, paving the way for increased employment, technology transfer, and industrial growth.
