Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The panel, chaired by Solomon Imohiosen, submitted its report to Governor Okpebholo over the weekend, uncovering serious financial irregularities across the 18 Local Government areas. The investigation found that despite receiving ₦95 billion from the Joint Allocation Account Committee (JAAC), the funds were poorly utilized, with no substantial projects to justify the expenditure.
The report also confirmed the fraudulent diversion of over ₦10 billion through a pseudo account labeled “Security, Environment, and Training,” which allegedly funneled money to political godfathers. The report implicated not only the impeached Local Government Chairmen but also former Governor Godwin Obaseki and factional leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
