Mother of Nigerian Music Icon, 2Baba, Rose Idibia, has said her son is clearly not in his right senses following the artiste’s engagement to Edo lawmaker, Natasha Osarawu.

‘My son is going through a divorce process and he’s clearly not in his right senses now, I know my son—this is not him,” Mrs Idibia said in a viral video posted on 2Baba’s younger brother, Charles Idibia’s Instagram handle.

2Baba early in February confirmed his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia and later revealed his plans to marry Osarawu

The singer also reaffirmed his commitment to Osarawu and dismissed speculations that she played a role in his marital crisis with Annie.

He went ahead to propose to the Edo lawmaker in a viral video on Thursday.

In the video, the visibly excited 2baba shared a warm hug with the lawmaker, sprayed money on her and they both danced before he brought out a ring to put on her finger while friends and well-wishers who were around cheered on.

However, 2Baba’s mother who appeared sad in the video pleaded with concerned Nigerian mothers to appeal to the lawmaker to set her son free.

”This message is for Ms Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son.’

”Please Natasha the beads you put on his hand and on his neck, remove them and free him”

Despite the plea, Ms Osawaru is yet to respond.
