While responding to questions about potential security concerns tied to the Almajiri presence in the city, Disu assured that there were no immediate threats to the capital. However, he urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to the security agencies to maintain peace and order.
The committee, which includes representatives from key security bodies such as the Nigerian Police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Department of State Services (DSS), has been tasked with providing a report within two weeks.
In addition, Disu shared that the FCT police command had arrested five individuals on suspicion of involvement in various crimes, reinforcing their ongoing efforts to tackle crime and ensure the safety of Abuja residents.
