Dr. Adeniji was kidnapped two weeks ago in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. SaharaReporters has learned that his abductors have contacted his family, demanding a ransom of N350 million for his release.

While neither the APC National Secretariat nor security operatives have officially commented on the incident, sources close to the situation have confirmed that the director remains in captivity.

Dr. Adeniji was appointed as the Director of Administration at the APC National Secretariat in August 2024, following the resignation of his predecessor, Prof. Alaba Adediwura. His appointment was formally announced by the party’s National Secretary.

This abduction adds to the rising cases of high-profile kidnappings in Nigeria. Recently, SaharaReporters also reported that retired Brigadier-General Maharazu Tsiga, a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), was kidnapped from his residence in Katsina State. His abductors have demanded a N250 million ransom for his release.

The growing wave of kidnappings across the country continues to raise concerns about security, as more high-ranking officials become targets of criminal gangs.
