Hamas has condemned U.S. President Donald Trump’s renewed offer to buy and own Gaza, warning that addressing the “Palestinian issue with the mentality of a real estate dealer is a recipe for failure.” The militant group’s statement comes amid intensified violence in the region.

Israeli forces killed four people, including an elderly woman, in the Gaza Strip, as Palestinians continued returning to the ruins of their homes in the north following Israel’s military withdrawal from the Netzarim Corridor. Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces shot dead three Palestinians, including a pregnant woman, in the Nur Shams refugee camp as part of an escalating assault on Palestinian territories.

The ongoing war on Gaza has led to a confirmed death toll of 48,189 people and left 111,640 wounded, according to the territory’s Health Ministry. However, Gaza’s Government Media Office has updated the death toll to at least 61,709, stating that thousands who were previously missing under the rubble are now presumed dead.

In Israel, at least 1,139 people were killed during the October 7, 2023, attacks, and more than 200 individuals were taken captive.
