The Federal Government has stepped in to resolve the visa crisis with Saudi service providers, ensuring that Nigerian pilgrims will not face disruptions during the 2025 Hajj.

He assured the Muslim community that no Nigerian intending pilgrim would be left behind.
The meeting, held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, was convened following reports that a contractual dispute with Saudi service provider Mashariq Al-Dhahabiah could potentially lead to visa denials. Shettima emphasized that NAHCON must take decisive steps to protect Nigerian pilgrims’ interests, stating, “From now on, we must set the right standards and ensure a hitch-free Hajj exercise.”
NAHCON Chairman Saleh Usman downplayed concerns over the dispute, affirming that it would not affect the pilgrimage. “There is no cause for alarm. No single registered pilgrim will be left behind,” he said, dismissing claims that the issue could derail the process.
