Eight governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have arrived in Asaba, the Delta State capital, for the PDP Governors’ Forum scheduled for Friday. The meeting, hosted by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, aims to discuss party unity ahead of the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting convened by the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT).

Also in attendance is the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Umar Damagum.
During a pre-meeting dinner, Governor Oborevwori stressed the importance of unity within the party, urging members to protect and strengthen their bond as they prepare for future elections.
The meeting is expected to set the tone for PDP’s political strategy ahead of the 2027 elections.
