Minister David Umahi Warns Public Against Fake Facebook Accounts
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Abakaliki, Jan. 21, 2025 (NAN) – The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has distanced himself from several fake Facebook accounts used by fraudsters to impersonate him and defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Chief Uchenna Orji, in Abakaliki, Umahi clarified that accounts operating under names such as “Sen. David Nweze Umahi,” “Sen. David Umahi,” and “Sen. Nweze David Umahi” are fraudulent.
“These accounts are the creation of unscrupulous individuals attempting to scam the public,” the minister stated. “None of these accounts is affiliated with Senator David Umahi.”
He urged the public to disregard any messages or communications from these false profiles, warning that they are deliberate schemes designed to deceive and exploit victims.
Umahi also called on authorities and social media platforms to take appropriate action to curb online fraud and protect users from cyber scams.
