President Tinubu, addressing the PECC, presented the outcomes of his accelerated stabilization and advancement plan aimed at bolstering sectors such as Health, Agriculture, Energy/Power, and providing general business support.

In a briefing after the inauguration, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, outlined the breakdown of the emergency funding: N350 billion for Health and Social Welfare, N500 billion for Agriculture and Food Security, N500 billion for Energy and Power, and N650 billion for general business support.

Mr. Tony Elumelu and Alhaji Aliko Dangote, prominent members of the Council, expressed optimism about the plan’s potential impact on job creation and economic revitalization. They emphasized the importance of private sector involvement in advising and implementing policies to improve economic conditions.

President Tinubu’s initiative aims to ease business costs through a series of policy measures, tax measures, and executive orders. However, amidst the optimism, Nigerians are calling for concrete evidence and transparency in the execution of the proposed economic stimulus package.

The PECC, chaired by President Tinubu and comprising key government officials and private sector leaders, is expected to provide strategic guidance to ensure effective implementation of these economic measures in the coming months.
