On Friday, June 28, 2024, Burkina Faso achieved a significant milestone in its international diplomatic relations as 10 countries presented letters of credence to President Captain Ibrahim Traoré at the Presidential Palace.

The ceremony marked a testament to Burkina Faso’s growing diplomatic influence despite the ongoing security crisis. Each ambassador was formally introduced to President Traoré, starting with Diet Becker, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, followed by representatives from other nations.

The accreditation of the new ambassadors underscores the efforts of the transitional authorities to strengthen international cooperation and partnerships. The event began with a formal reception at the Presidential Palace, where the representatives were greeted with traditional Burkinabe hospitality.
