The first pilgrim, identified as Saliu Mohammed from Batch 3 of the state contingent, passed away in an intensive care unit of a public hospital in Madina after a brief illness. The exact nature of the illness was not disclosed.

Tragically, the second pilgrim, Hajia Hawawu Mohammed from Batch 9, met her demise in what Saudi authorities have determined to be a distressing suicidal incident. She fell from the rooftop of her apartment in Madina, a conclusion reached after investigation.

The Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board mourns the loss of these individuals and prays for the comfort of their families during this difficult time. They also beseech Allah for forgiveness and mercy upon the departed souls.
