President Tinubu to Attend President Mahamat Déby’s Inauguration in Chad


President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Thursday, May 23, for N’Djamena, the Republic of Chad, to attend the inauguration of President Mahamat Déby.

Déby’s inauguration follows his victory in the country’s presidential election earlier in May and subsequent affirmation by Chad’s Constitutional Court.

A statement by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, confirmed President Tinubu’s attendance at the ceremony. He will be accompanied by senior government officials and is expected to return to Nigeria after the event.
