Drake Buys $15 Million Texas Ranch Amid Security Concerns in Toronto

Canadian rapper Drake has invested in a sprawling $15 million ranch in Texas, seeking refuge outside Toronto following security incidents at his mansion in the Canadian city. The 37-year-old music star acquired The Inn at Dos Brisas in Chappell Hill, a 313-acre resort, in October last year. The resort, located an hour away from Houston, offers luxurious amenities such as private casitas, haciendas, and a 7,000-bottle wine cellar.

Drake’s move to purchase the ranch comes after several security incidents at his $100 million mansion in Toronto. His security guard was shot in a drive-by shooting outside the mansion, and two intruders attempted to access the property on separate occasions. Amid these security concerns, Drake decided to lay down roots outside Toronto by acquiring the lavish Texas resort.

The Inn at Dos Brisas closed in 2022 due to Covid-related losses but was previously acclaimed as one of the best hotels in Texas. It features a tennis court, an equestrian facility, and an organic farm, making it an ideal retreat for Drake away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

While it’s unclear whether Drake plans to use the resort as a business venture or a personal retreat, his investment underscores the importance of security and privacy for high-profile celebrities like himself. The move to Texas signals Drake’s desire to find a safe haven while maintaining his luxurious lifestyle amidst ongoing security challenges in Toronto.
