Basirat Damilola Marshall, the daughter of veteran Fuji singer King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as KWAM1, has been appointed by Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as his Senior Special Assistant on Tourism.

Basirat confirmed her appointment in a recent Instagram post, sharing a circular announcing her new role with the state government.

KWAM1, known for his loyalty to Nigeria’s President and former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, previously expressed concerns about the economic challenges faced by Nigerians during Tinubu’s tenure. He lamented the hardships and urged Tinubu to address the issues affecting citizens.

During a live performance, KWAM1 sang about the disappointment felt by Nigerians due to the current economic situation, urging Tinubu to take action and find solutions to the country’s problems.

He appealed to Tinubu not to be swayed by deception and to heed the cries of the citizens, urging him to implement measures to alleviate their suffering.
