** Amidst Alleged Frustration from Governor**
In a significant development, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa has tendered his resignation as the Commander-General of the Kano Hisbah Board. The decision comes in the wake of what Daurawa perceives as discouragement and frustration from Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State.
The catalyst for the resignation stems from Governor Yusuf’s expressed dissatisfaction with the implementation of Hisbah’s ‘Operation Kau Da Badala’ within the state. This initiative by Hisbah is designed to combat immorality and uphold societal standards in alignment with Islamic values.
In a video shared on his social media handle, Daurawa expressed his disappointment, highlighting his efforts to foster societal morality during his tenure as the Commander of Hisbah. Despite active engagement with Kannywood and TikTok celebrities, including offering guidance and financial assistance, Daurawa felt disheartened by the lack of support.
The video also revealed that Daurawa was in Kaduna State, engaging with lawmakers to discuss the implementation of a mandatory pre-marital health check in Kano, similar to other Nigerian states. However, the alleged discouraging comments from Kano state prompted Daurawa to offer his resignation.
In his parting words, Daurawa apologized for any perceived anger and frustration, extending his best wishes to Governor Yusuf in his leadership role. The resignation marks a notable development within the Kano Hisbah Board and may have implications for its operations and leadership.
