Aradel Holdings Plc Spur Unlisted Securities Market Down by 0.45%


Aradel Holdings Plc led the Naija247news Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange into negative territory, dipping by 0.45% on Thursday, January 11, as its share price fell by N26.79 to trade at N1,230.10 per share compared to the previous day’s N1,256.89 per share.
Consequently, the market capitalization lost N5.82 billion, closing at N1.288 trillion in contrast to the preceding session’s N1.294 trillion. The NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) also declined by 4.29 points, concluding the day at 950.38 points compared to the previous session’s 954.67 points.
The trading volume experienced a 98.6% decline, with investors exchanging 12,718 units of shares, a significant drop from the 922,447 units traded the day before. The number of deals executed during the trading day also decreased by 91.5%, totaling four deals compared to the 47 deals in the previous session.
However, the value of shares traded increased by 60.8% to N13.3 million from the N8.3 million recorded in the midweek trading session.
At the end of the day, UBN Property Plc remained the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis, selling 24.3 million units valued at N42.5 million. Geo-Fluids followed with a turnover of 20.0 million units worth N48.0 million, and Purple Real Estate Plc ranked third, with 5.5 million units sold for N28.8 million.
In terms of value traded year-to-date, Aradel Plc took the lead, selling 267,902 units valued at N319.9 million. Geo-Fluids Plc followed with a sale of 20.0 million units worth N48.0 million, and UBN Property Plc secured the third position with a turnover of 24.3 million units valued at N42.5 million.
