“Ekiti Chief Judge to Resume Duties Monday Following Court Collapse, NBA President Confirms Recovery”

Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, is poised to resume duties on Monday, marking a return after a section of the state high court complex collapsed while he was in his office four months ago.

The collapse occurred on July 12, and subsequent to the incident, the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, visited Justice Adeyeye in London, expressing gratitude for his quick recovery.

The NBA President stated that the Chief Judge, in high spirits, will be back in the country to resume work. The visit and Justice Adeyeye’s recovery were acknowledged in a statement by the NBA National Publicity Secretary, Akorede Habeeb Lawal.

The statement also highlighted the NBA’s concern about the state of court infrastructures across the country and condemned an attack on a judge in Gombe State, pledging efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
