In his statement, Igboho suggested that Gumi’s remarks were driven by his desire to secure a negotiation contract with bandits under the current administration. Igboho warned Gumi against making inflammatory statements that could foster disunity and disaffection among Nigerians. He emphasized the importance of upholding the country’s security and maintaining peace.

Igboho also stated that while advocating for an egalitarian society, they would not allow individuals like Gumi to disrupt the peace of the nation. He called on all stakeholders to avoid actions that promote mutual suspicion and crisis among Nigerians.

Igboho further noted that Tinubu’s choice of ministers and their activities should not be used to threaten or seek personal gains, as Gumi allegedly did in the past administration.
