During the inauguration ceremony of Phase 1 of Cemetery Market Road in Aba, Governor Otti expressed a clear vision for the city, emphasizing that his administration is strategically allocating resources to areas that will bring about substantial economic and social improvements for the residents.
The governor was accompanied by his Deputy, Ikechukwu Emetu, and key members of his cabinet for the inauguration of Cemetery Road Phase 1, Shalom Road, and Emelogu Road.
Engr. Ifeanyi Okorie of Rock Result Group, representing the contractors responsible for these road projects, noted that these contracts, initiated in early July, have significantly eased the commute for travelers in this region. He assured that the newly constructed roads are built to last for the next 50 years.
Engr. Don Oti, the Commissioner for Works, urged those benefitting from these roads to reciprocate the government’s investment by taking responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the proper drainage of the roads. He stressed that safeguarding road infrastructure is of utmost importance to the administration.
Governor Otti received a warm welcome from a diverse crowd, including traders, traditional leaders, representatives of transport unions, and loyal party members from the state. This underscores the significance of these road projects for the local community and the broader region.
