IGP Lauds ‘Steady Decline’ In Crime Rate, Vows Security In Imo, Kogi, Bayelsa Polls

Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has commended the consistent decrease in crime rates during the “Ember months” while assuring voters in the upcoming governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States of enhanced security measures.

Egbetokun made these remarks during a meeting with Strategic Police Managers, including Deputy Inspectors-General of Police, to review the security situation and discuss key security matters.

He praised the dedication of police personnel and the unwavering support from both the government and the public, highlighting their role in reducing crime rates across the nation. Egbetokun also acknowledged the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in achieving positive anti-crime outcomes.
