During the monthly thanksgiving service themed “Uncommon Miracles” at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer, made a prediction on Sunday. He foretold the resurgence of the Naira’s strength against the US dollar, reminiscing about a time when the Naira competed favorably with the dollar.

He shared a personal anecdote, mentioning that his wife once told him they could spend N5,000, referring to a time when the Naira held a stronger position against the dollar.
With conviction, he stated, “Don’t worry; those days will return. I know you don’t believe me, but if the Lord I serve is still on His throne, those glorious days will return. Maybe when that happens, you will know that there is a God of miracles.”
In December 2020, during the RCCG’s Annual Holy Ghost Congress under the theme “It is time to fly,” held at the RCCG International Headquarters on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Adeboye had previously predicted the Naira’s resurgence against other strong currencies. He prayed for divine intervention in Nigeria’s financial sector and for policymakers to reconsider their actions that led to deliberate devaluation of the currency.
