Nigerian Bourse sheds weight, closes lower by 0.02%

The equity market on Monday closed on a bearish note as the All Share Index dipped by 0.02% to settle at 55,806.71 points from the previous close of 55,820.50 points.

The Market Capitalisation declined by 0.03% to close at N30.387 trillion from the previous close of N30.395 trillion, thereby shedding N8 billion.

An aggregate of 369.8 million units of shares were traded in 7,221 deals, valued at N19.8 billion.

The Market Breadth closed negative as 26 equities appreciated in their share prices against 27 equities that declined in their share prices.

Percentage Gainers

Nem Insurance and OMATEK led other gainers with 10.00% growth each to close at N5.50 and N0.22 from the previous close of N5.00 and N0.20

Conoil and MRS among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.94% and 9.94% respectively.

Percentage Losers

JOHNHOLT led other price decliners, as it shed 9.95% of its share price to close at N1.72 from the previous close of N1.91.

COURTVILLE, CHAMS and WAPIC among other price decliners also shed their share prices by 9.80%, 9.76% and 8.70% respectively.

Volume Drivers

GEREGU traded about 52.5 million units of its shares in 92 deals, valued at about N16.4 billion.

ACCESSCORP traded about 46 million units of its shares in 522 deals, valued at N41.9 million.

Zenith Bank traded about 28.7 million units of its shares in 548 deals, valued at N800.6 million.(www.naija247news.com).
