President Buhari will commission the 650,000 BPD Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals on Monday.

The refinery will be producing petrol, diesel, aviation jet fuel and Kerosene, among other refined products.

According to the CEO of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals, Sanjay Gupta, the facility is the largest single-train refinery in the world.

“Everything in this plant by way of size is the first”.

“There is no single column which can process 650,000 barrels per day anywhere else”

According to the Special Assistant to the President on Digital and New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi the size of Dangote Refinery in Lekki is more than 3 times the size of Victoria Island.

The plant is Africa’s biggest oil refinery and the worlds biggest simple-train facility. It will create more employment opportunities for Nigeria’s increasing population.(www.naija247news.com).
