The stock market on Thursday closed on a bearish note, occasioned by profit taking in 20 stocks.
The All Share Index dipped by 0.09% to close at 52,161.24 points from the previous close of 52,209.06 points.
The Market Capitalisation closed at N28.402 trillion, down by 0.09% from the previous close of N28.428 trillion, thereby shedding N26 billion.
An aggregate of 477 million units of shares were traded in 5,539 deals, valued at N5.24 billion.
The Market Breadth closed positive as 22 equities emerged as gainers against 20 equities that declined in their share prices.
Percentage Gainers
ARDOVA led other gainers with 10.00% growth, closing at N24.20 from N22.00 it closed last session.
NCR and MULTIVERSE among other gainers also grew their share prices by 9.87% and 9.87% respectively.
Percentage Losers
FCMB led other price decliners, shedding 5.66% of its share price to close at N4.00 from the previous close of N4.24.
ACCESSCORP, Sterling Bank and Royal Exchange dropped their share prices by 3.77%, 3.53% and 3.33% respectively.
Volume Drivers
ACCESSCORP traded about 169 million units of its shares in 611 deals, valued at N1.74 billion.
UBA traded about 102 million units of its shares in 266 deals, valued at N819 million.
