The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Buni winner of the Saturday governorship poll in Yobe State on Sunday.
In a statement on Monday, Lawan, who hails from Yobe, described Buni’s victory as well-deserved, while also congratulating the ruling All Progressives Congress.
He said, “I heartily congratulate my dear friend and brother, Buni, on his re-election for a second term.
“I also congratulate our great party, the APC, on the renewal of our mandate to continue delivering progressive governance to our people across Yobe State.”
Similarly, an APC chieftain in Yobe, Bashir Machina, also congratulated Buni, saying his re-election reflected the choice of the people.(www.naija247news.com)
