BREAKING NEWS: Sanwo-Olu wins Lagos guber election

defeats Rhodes-Vivour with 442,690 votes

Lagos State Governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress Babajide Sanwo-Olu has won the governorship election after defeating his main opponents Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and Peoples Democratic Party’s Abdul-Azeez Adediran.

Although, the Independent National Electoral Commission is yet to declare the official results, collated results from the 20 local governments in the state, show Sanwo-Olu is in clear lead with over 442,690 votes.

Sanwo-Olu polled a total of 739,526 votes ahead of Rhodes-Vivour who got a total of 296,832 votes.

Adediran popularly known as Jandor came distant third with 63,849 votes.

INEC is yet to make an official declaration to accommodate the votes from Lekki where election was shifted from Saturday to Sunday.

The total number of registered voters for the polling unit are 6243, while a total of 5621 voters picked their permanent voters card.
