He has also been nominated for the Champions League goal of the week award following his sublime header in the same game.
Osimhen will slug it out with Erling Haaland, Karim Benzema and Hakan Calhanoglu for the player of the week prize.
The 24-year-old played a pivotal role to lead Napoli to their first-ever Champions League quarter-finals.
He also became the first Napoli player to score in both legs of a Champions League knockout tie.
Osimhen has scored four goals in five Champions League games for Napoli this season.
