FAAN Shut Down Lagos Airport Runway for maintenance.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has shut down the runway at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja, Lagos State for maintenance.

FAAN said the runways would be closed for eight weeks for maintenance.

“This is to notify the public that runway 18R/36L of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos has been closed for eight weeks for Maintenance work to be carried out,” the statement read.

According to the agency, Taxiway B-18L would be used instead for all flight operations until maintenance is completed.

“Taxiway B-18L will be used for all flight operations,” the authority said via a tweet on Monday.
