Flying Eagles recorded a 2-0 win over Mozambique to qualify for the second round of the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Ladan Bosso-led team lost their first game of the competition to Senegal 1-0, before winning 1-0 against Egypt.
Samson Lawal and Ibrahim Muhammad first half goals was enough to secure a second round place.
Lawal opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a volley which sailed into the top corner.
Muhammad doubled the advantage with a rocket from outside the box with four minutes to the end of the first half.
In the other Group A match, Senegal spanked Egypt 4-0 to confirm their second round place in style.
The Flying Eagles will battle the third-placed team in Group B in the quarter-finals of the competition.
The top four team will qualify for the U-20 FIFA World Cup in Indonesia.
